"You'd be surprised the types of things we get sometimes, though this one was a novel from Earth." Don't ask him any more than that, honestly.
Slowly he shakes his head in response, it seemed easy enough to him and if that was the context they were using it in them that seemed easier to get the point across, anyway. "Traffic light colors works perfectly and is straightforward enough. Better to start simple than overthink it." At least he's practical when it comes to these sorts of things. "... And thanks, again, for this. I know it probably came across like I was judging it something, but I honestly am curious to a lot of things. Especially ones I couldn't really ask about back home." He pauses for a moment with a soft, almost nervous laugh. "You've seen how my dad is, for example." Asking Adam anything like that? Absolutely not.
Straightforward is easy, so that's good. As for the rest, he raises a brow. "If it had sounded like you were judging, you wouldn't be here right now." Or at least not with Angel being in any way serious about teaching him anything useful. It would be one thing if he was a client and Angel was getting paid, but to just invite him? No way Angel would put up with that kind of attitude for nothing. "People who do usually sound more like... well, him, actually." He sighs. Adam would definitely not be welcome here, apparent hilarious fan of his chest fluff or not, and being that guy's kid can't have been easy.
He opens the door to his room, ushering Abel inside. The walls are glaringly bright and the room doesn't have much in it. Mostly just the bed, which is big and soft, and a more pastel pink than the walls, plus some things scattered around that seem to mostly belong to Fat Nuggets. On the bed are a few items of interest, most notably a flogger with relatively soft suede tassels and a few different lengths of rope, all of which do a remarkably good job of matching the walls of the room. There's also a feather that looks comparatively out of place and suspiciously like it could have come from Husk's wings, which Angel had found and decided to toss into the mix on a whim.
