[ It's late, like stupidly late. He'd originally said he was going to stay on Lute's couch tonight, but after his run-in with Lucifer and being punished by the Council, Adam had been wandering around for hours on end, just thinking and feeling, and he was exhausted.

Adam was just standing, looking at Abel's place; there wasn't a light on, and he didn't want to just turn up unannounced for some reason. All he could think about was how Lucifer felt about Charlie. How much he loved and adored her and how he would do anything to spend time with her, to be needed by her... Fuck did Abel even want to see Adam ever? Still, he calls on the off chance he's awake... ]

Hey, it's er, its Dad.... You up? You're probably not. Sorry, I'll come back in the morning.

[Unfortunately, or fortunately, Abel was still up, merely reading in his bed by a few candles instead of dealing with actual lights. He'd quiet for the longest moment as he hears that voice message. Weird, he thought he would've been with Lute, too.

He doesn't respond to it but instead moves to the door to open it, a robe wrapped around him and feet in slippers.]

The door's never locked, you know. [He shifts to let him in the doorway, expression soft and mostly neutral for now.]

I can get some hot water going or just regular water if you want? [AKA: You look like shit.]

[ Adam made the very wise decision not to go back to Lute's place after his fight with Lucifer, for the sole reason he didn't want anymore fighting. Not tonight. Not now. Maybe that was mostly chalked up to the fact he was currently (and for the foreseeable future) suffering with all of the Fallen Angel's emotions as well as his own... And let me tell you, Lucifer has some issues... ]

I know... Just didn't want to burden you... I should just claim a place of my own-- Yea, I'll do that in the morning...

[He'd honestly be glad to know why he chose him over Lute in this particular case. A better decision when it comes to that while fighting thing. He blinks slowly at his words, quietly moving forward to drag him into a hug, inviting out not seeming to care about the blood.]

You're not burdening me. Don't worry about it. [While his voice is soft, the words are firm. Slowly he lets him go to move aside and let him in, going to fetch him some water and put a kettle on.]

Go take a shower, there's already a robe in there, when you're done I'll have some tea ready.

[ Yeah, Adam knows. Sometimes he makes the right choice. Sometimes it's because he knows he's a piece of shit, othertimes, like now, for example, it's because he knows how Lucifer feels and it's heavier than he can cope with.

Adam hugs back after a moment. He doesn't know what to say, what to do, but that hug made his racing thoughts slow long enough to understand that yea, maybe he needs to go get cleaned up. ]

Yea, sure... Shower...then tea... I can manage that... Thanks.

[ Adam sort of just drags his feet as he moves through his son's place. Standing under the water and just sobbing his eyes out, gold mixing with the water as it washes down the drain. ]

If the flyer is correct, then we have quite a bit in common! I too loved tending my flocks when I was younger and quite enjoy making my friends smile and making sure they know they are loved! There is nothing better than seeing your friends blossom into joy!
